Job Description.
The Juvenile Assessment Center (JAC) is a nonprofit organization contributing to the safety of youth, families, and the communities of Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln counties through early intervention, comprehensive assessment and improved access to appropriate services.
As the Grants and Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for the development and management of the organization’s grants/contracts, information management systems as well as communication (internal and external). The Grants and Communications Coordinator will work in partnership with leadership to create sustainability in order to support JAC’s programming as well as developing a communication strategy for the organization.
Primary responsibilities are as follows:
Grant Management to include identifying and developing grant proposals as well as donor/grant reporting.
Serving as administrator for the agency’s information management system to ensure data quality for reporting purposes.
Communications (Internal and External)
Maintaining an active social media and web-based presence
Designing and producing agency materials
Assisting with special events
Required Qualifications.
Minimal Educational / Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, marketing, communication or relevant field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Must pass a Background check. Required background check includes a review with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Central Registry of Child Protection (Trails).
Must pass a drug screen.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Excellent interpersonal skills; including above average oral and written communication skills a must.
Prior experience in managing social media platforms and other communication platforms.
Prior experience with grant management.
Skills in planning, organizing and coordinating a wide variety of activities; implementing and communicating policies and procedures; analyzing data, making sound recommendations and adopting effective causes of action; working persuasively and tactfully with supervisors.
