Job Description.

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Finance Manager oversee all of GCADVs financial and bookkeeping functions. This position will work closely with GCADV staff to ensure accurate financial reporting, procedural compliance and organizational effectiveness.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and federal grant regulatory requirements.
Maintain internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue, cost allocations, and program budgets to actual expenditures.
Coordinate all audit activity including the OMB Uniform Guidance. This includes preparing account reconciliations and Single Audit schedules.
Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of GCADV's financial status.
Assist GCADV leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identifying, explaining, and correcting variances as appropriate.
Support the ED in engaging the board's audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.
Oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period; ensure timely reimbursement of grant expenditures; ensure timely submission of grant budget adjustments; collate financial reporting materials for government, corporate, and foundation grants.
Manage organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the program directors; continuously collaborate with program directors to assess the financial efficacy of program operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support program operations.
Cultural Competency and Anti-racism

Identify and promote cultural competency and antiracism as a high priority in all communications, both written and verbal.
Support key strategies and initiatives for promoting cultural competency and antiracism work.
Work both individually and as part of the GCADV team on cultural competency and antiracism strategies and initiatives.
Actively participate in and contribute to tasks, meetings and projects in conjunction with GCADV's Undoing Racism Plan.

General Duties

Provide support and assistance to other staff for special projects as requested.
Provide technical assistance and consultation to GCADV project partners to help promote sound financial practices.
Participate in GCADV staff, finance, and membership meetings as needed.
Adhere to personnel policies and confidentiality standards of colleagues, clients and members.
Perform all duties as a GCADV staff member in a manner which shows respect for colleagues, clients, members, volunteers, community partners and others in all ways, irrespective of differences in class or economic position, physical abilities, cultural or ethnic background, religion or faith, sexual orientation, gender or veteran status.
Perform any other duties as requested by the Executive Director.

Required Qualifications.

Extensive knowledge of nonprofit finance with a minimum of four years as a Finance Manager or comparable experience.
Minimum of Bachelorês degree in Finance/Accounting
Knowledge of nonprofit fund accounting, including payables and receivables.
Advanced knowledge of and proficiency in QuickBooks nonprofit edition accounting software.
Experience and strong understanding of managing multiple state and federal grants.
Superior organization skills with an ability to organization and manage work time.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to develop and maintain cooperative relations with a diversity of individuals, organizations, and government agencies.
Ability to work individually in a self-directed manner and as part of a team.
Commitment to contributing toward a positive work culture.
Demonstrated commitment to the mission of GCADV.
An understanding of the dynamics, causes and resources associated with domestic violence and a commitment to ending violence against women and other forms of oppression.
Ability and willingness to work outside of normal business hours, as needed.
Access to reliable transportation; willingness and ability to occasionally travel in and out of state; some overnight travel required.
