The Deputy Communications Director will be responsible for crafting and implementing the drumbeat message against Arizona Republicans for the 2018 election cycle. The Deputy CD will join a robust communications team whose sole responsibility is to work with Arizona media and ADP digital department every day to define the Arizona Republican Party and its candidates. The position also working with local elected leaders, third party organizations, and other politically active groups to help elect Democrats up and down the ballot.



Duties include but are not limited to:



Craft and implement an aggressive, opposition message with our Arizona Democratic candidates that will define Arizona Republicans up and down the ticket.

Build genuine and honest relationships with Arizona media that will help influence coverage on the opposition party.

Team up with elected leaders, third party organizations for media events and/or opportunities happening across the state.

Collaborate with ADP’s Digital Team to help amplify the party’s anti-AZGOP message through its social media channels.

Serve as spokesperson for the ADP.

Qualifications:



Experience of at least two political campaign cycles.

At least one political cycle of on-the-record experience.

Rapid response experience is a plus.

Background in Digital -- specifically how to fine-tune a message using only 200 characters.

Red state, tossup state campaign experience is preferred.

A self-starter and a willingness to tackle challenges and plot twists that will happen during a high-profile campaign.
