Communications Specialist
Job Description.
Develop, write and edit strategic communications for use during organizing and bargaining campaigns, member engagement, at presentations and conferences, and during the legislative session. Develop and maintain a highly interactive virtual community for SEIU 775 members, long-term care consumers, and other workers and their families. Research and make recommendations on existing and emerging communications technologies that may assist organizers, communicators, and other SEIU 775 staff and leaders.
Required Qualifications.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a communications-related field is preferred. At least three to five years of experience in communications, marketing and/or organizing communications position.
Preferred Qualifications.
Proficient in use of graphic design and video editing software, and experience in project managing video production. Experience using data analysis to develop targeted communications strategies, messages and products.
