General Counsel (Exempt)
Job Description.
This position is also responsible for providing legal counsel to the Executive Director and the PDC's other divisions, e.g., interpreting statutes, rules, and public records requirements, as well as coordinating legal issues and matters with the Attorney General's office as needed. This position is critical to the successful advancement of the agency's mission to provide timely and meaningful public access to accurate campaign-finance information.
Required Qualifications.
Juris Doctorate.
Preferred Qualifications.
Extensive knowledge of RCW chapter 42.17A and WAC 390 and demonstrated ability to analyze campaign finance laws at both the state and national levels.
