Job Description.
Manage, triage and coordinate prompt and consistent project construction communications across platforms including email, Web, social and traditional media, and public meetings.Responsible for tracking, developing, researching, planning, leading and supporting media stories, events, and developing creative ways to bring awareness to construction projects with the budget in mind. Manage customer correspondence system, including researching and drafting responses. Design, Implement, and manage strategies, and measurement systems to ensure communications activities. Serve as daily media/communications lead for assigned projects. Track critical meetings, milestones and timelines. Attend/involved with construction communication meetings.
Respond to emergency/crisis situations; advising on communication strategies, coordinate WSF response strategy, ensure proper information to be disseminated with appropriate officials. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications.
A bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field of study and at least four years of progressively responsible related experience.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including full command of Associated Press Stylebook and writing for the Web Excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships; even in times of high pressure and conflict. Ability to be flexible in work locations (working remotely on jobsites). Excellent knowledge of media relations and traditional media practices. Ability to identify and develop effective stories for a wide variety of audiences. Working knowledge of Drupal or other similar web content management systems. Ability to utilize desktop video editing and graphic design programs. Demonstrated experience of social media platforms. Experience interpreting/analyzing public information policy and issues. Understanding of emergency communications. Ability to be available 24 hours a day when necessary. A valid driver's license.
