As part of the non-partisan budget staff to the Colorado State Legislature's Joint Budget Committee, Legislative Budget Analysts review the management, operations, programs, and fiscal needs of state agencies. Each Analyst makes fiscal and policy recommendations to legislators in a public setting. The position requires strong quantitative and analytical skills, proven written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. The position also requires proficiency in Excel and Word; experience with Microsoft Access is desirable.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; a responsible work history; and five years of professional work experience. Graduate coursework may substitute for up to two years of professional work experience.
