The Grant Writer II will secure funds through private and corporate foundations and public agencies to support Avera Health's mission and will work in collaboration with Avera partner facilities. The Grant Writer II will assist and at times lead project development through ongoing communication, facilitation, collaboration, and direction, as well as develop, write and manage grant applications for Avera Rural Health Institute committed projects. The Grant Writer is responsible for initiating and cultivating relationships with funders that will generate increased revenue to the Avera Rural Health Institute and its partners.

Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, social sciences, English or journalism, political science or education with at least five years of relevant writing and prospect research experience preferred.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
This position requires a valid driver's license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
