SCAD seeks a senior director of public affairs to raise public awareness and increase appreciation for the university’s impact on its hometown communities and the diverse benefits it provides to its students, alumni, faculty and staff. In this role, you will engage with the greater Atlanta community, as well as key SCAD stakeholders, to build the university’s reputation and create opportunities for collaboration with strategically significant private, nonprofit and governmental organizations. Additionally, you will meet with key community leaders to share the history, accomplishments and global reach of SCAD in order to build public consciousness of the many contributions SCAD makes in and around the communities it serves: Savannah and Atlanta, Georgia; Lacoste, France and Hong Kong. The ideal candidate demonstrates a high level of comfort representing an organization through attending meetings, public speaking, presenting and leading tours. You should have excellent writing and editing skills, as well as five or more years of related integrated public relations/public affairs experience, preferably in higher education or the arts.

Master's degree preferred
