Job Description.
Join the Women's Breast & Heart Initiative, Florida Affiliate's (WBHI) internationally recognized outreach effort to fight breast cancer and heart disease through the volunteer management and recruitment position of Volunteer Coordinator. Successful candidates must have 2 years non-profit expertise with a minimum 2 years experience in volunteer recruitment and management, be detail oriented, and have the ability to establish new and maintain existing relationships, and coordinate with universities, civic organizations, government agencies and corporations to fill all of WBHI's volunteer needs.DUTIES:
* Identify and target potential volunteer audiences for recruitment presentations and appropriate follow-up, in accordance with the organization's outreach activity needs and volunteer recruitment plan.
* Coordinate and prioritize recruitment presentations with Executive Director to insure maximum efficient and effective use of time. Conduct 7-10 volunteer presentations per month.
* Meet weekly outreach volunteer objectives to ensure adequate coverage and support. Maintain communication with volunteers following outreach, sending thank you notes, notices of upcoming events, and other means of communication to maintain volunteer's link with WBHI.
* Manage Volunteer Aide
* Document all recruitment activities and report weekly progress to Executive Director.
* Develop/implement targeted marketing plan to recruit volunteers for the organization.
* Develop volunteer leadership to assist with program efforts. Provide staff support and assist with development/implementation of outreach campaigns.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
* Assist in preparation for organization functions.
* Attend organization meetings, outreach activities and special events as required.
* Maintain frequent contact with office when in field.
* Maintain complete and current data base of recruitment contacts.
* Provide Executive Director with advance weekly activity schedule and all other accountability documentation.
* Social media manager.
* Manage College Campus Club program
* Perform other WBHI-related duties as assigned by Executive Director.
Required Qualifications.
MUST HAVE 2 YEARS PREVIOUS VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE
Ability to establish positive professional relationships with staff, volunteers and community groups.
Poise and public speaking skills essential. Writing ability preferred.
Flexibility of hours and willingness to travel throughout South Florida essential.
Minimum educational requirement Bachelor's degree with 2 years proven volunteer management and recruitment experience
Ability to work independently and network.
Excellent work ethic and time management/organizational skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, and Salesforce preferred.
Bilingual, English/Creole or English/Spanish a plus
