Job Description.

We are seeking to hire a Communications Director to coordinate strategic communications, marketing and Public Relations initiatives across multiple businesses and organizations. The Role We are looking for an experienced professional with significant experience in the communications, marketing and public relations industry that can develop a proactive, comprehensive communications strategy for a number of related organizations. The Communications Director must be able to work with associates across various organizations to drive change and business efficiencies. The professional must be comfortable working with Northwest Arkansas regional businesses, and related non-profit organizations throughout the region in a highly coordinated way. The role will also include the following: • Create annual communications plans that advance the Principals’ overall vision and support of development initiatives throughout the organization. • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization and for affiliates and Principals as necessary/requested. • Manage all external communications involving Principals. • Create a regular system for sharing and coordinating communications and PR efforts across Principals’ affiliate organizations. • Manage a communications calendar that is shared with owners and affiliate organizations. • Consult with affiliate organizations as requested on PR, marketing and communications related efforts within each affiliate organization. • Develop and advance new brand properties and coordinate with affiliates on the development of brand properties within the affiliate organizations. • Develop and manage an annual budget for communications, marketing and public relations support. • Engage and manage the work of outside communications, marketing and public relations firms as necessary in support of projects and initiatives of the organization. Required Qualifications.

A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications or a related field required
At least 5 years of communications or public relations experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including a portfolio of writing samples. Digital skills a bonus

Preferred Qualifications.

Relevant master's degree or higher. Experience working on political campaigns or at communications agencies
. Experience writing and managing communications for a variety of social media channels. Adept in the use of social media with keen awareness of appropriate communication for each platform
