The Data Systems Manager oversees planning, implementation, coordination, and tracking of multiple projects related to corrections technology projects and other areas within DOC. This position routinely evaluates reports and queries to ensure data reliability for the juvenile division, prison system, and parole system. We are looking for a positive, responsible, and confident professional with strong organization and communication skills to work collaboratively with vendors, DOC professionals, other state agencies, and technical personnel.
This position is exempt from the Civil Service Act.
Successful applicant(s) will be required to undergo a background investigation. An arrest/conviction record will not necessarily bar employment. Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of a drug screening.
Required Qualifications.
A bachelor's degree in a related subject is preferred.

Knowledge of:
Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word;
project management;
Structured Query Language (SQL);
DOC operations.
Skill to:
analyze data and statistics;
create basic queries in Microsoft Access;
train staff on new technology and be the subject matter expert;
implement and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to:
multitask, stay organized, work independently, effectively communicate, and provide sound recommendations.
