Job Description.
Founded in 1973, Pathway Caring for Children is a private, non-profit social services agency. Our mission is to empower children and families to realize their potential and achieve the possibilities of their lives through innovative mental health, foster care, and adoption services. Pathway offices are located in Brook Park, Canton, Damascus, and Minerva, Ohio.
Summary: The Quality and Compliance Director is responsible for the overall quality and compliance of service delivery and agency operations at Pathway Caring for Children.
Functions:
Provides leadership for the quality improvement program in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the agency, federal and state laws and regulations, accreditation standards.
Coordinates all quality improvement activities including Client file reviews, Performance improvement projects, and Exceptional event reviews.
Oversees agency compliance with OhioMHAS rules and regulations and develops necessary policies for compliance.
Responsible for compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and serves as Privacy officer.
Serves as chairperson of the CQI committee and reports annually on CQI committee activities and CQI issues for the fiscal year.
Responsible for Council on Accreditation compliance, maintains compliance with COA standards, including compliance with any updated/revised standards regularly and serves as agency resource for compliance standards.
Responsible for the preparation of reports, documents, statistical surveys, and other data.
Monitors and enforces agency compliance with the rules, regulations, and standards of the local boards of Mental Health.

Required Qualifications.
Education: Bachelor's degree in one of the social sciences or related fields
Licensure: LSW, LPC Ohio licensure is preferred for Mental Health certification and compliance
Skills:
Detail oriented
Accreditation and policy writing experience
Knowledge of outcome measurement and performance improvement project management
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance is required
