Job Description.

Serve as primary contact for questions related to the education or association programs while maintaining a high level of service and prompt response to inquiries. Manage the delivery of education or association courses including the transportation, set-up, operation, and tear-down of course equipment (LCD projector, audio mixer and microphones), serving as on-site registrar, and course moderator/facilitator. Introduces education or association faculty members and giving on-site instructions to participants. Receives, evaluates, processes and submits registration information for Judicial College courses and meetings. Enters, edits, and deletes appropriate information into established databases. Prepare application for continuing education credit approval and report course completions to appropriate agency. Acts as a registrar to track face-to-face, asynchronous, and synchronous course completion. Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), the Program Manager, and other resources to identify learning resources and develop content that may be used as updates or enhancements for new and existing program materials. Assist in the course continuous improvement process. Gather data related to these tasks and analyze the data into reports for Program Manager, Judicial College Director, and others. Maintain information and resources in the College's learning management system. Coordinate the creation and maintenance of program course materials and media for all learning programs. Supports the Program Manager in organizing, evaluating, and adjusting the list of education or association faculty by participating in the assessment of the existing faculty members' performance and offering suggestions for improvements when appropriate. Collaborate with the Program Manager in planning and implementation of faculty meetings and special events.

Required Qualifications.

Requires a Bachelor's degree and the ability to learn and understand complex policies.
Minimum of three years experience working in project-based teams.
Minimum of two years experience in quality assurance for web applications, a plus.
Valid driver's license required.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, and Outlook. In addition, must have the ability to become proficient in Blackboard Learn, learning management systems (LMS), and additional educational software and equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, to establish positive public relations, and to interact effectively with supervisors, co-workers, judges, attorneys, court staff, and the public.
Requires strong writing skills and the ability to write, complete and concise correspondence using proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Requires the ability to problem solve and/or troubleshoot, think analytically, multitask effectively, and work independently. Requires judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in evaluating information.
Requires the ability to manage conflict and to effectively handle difficult people and conversations.
Requires the ability to produce a high volume of work within a deadline. Ability to meet multiple deadlines and deal with shifting priorities.
Requires proven ability to take initiative, distinguish higher from lower priorities, and independently plan and implement new procedures when appropriate.
Requires the ability to perform basic mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; also requires the ability to calculate percentages, fractions and decimals; also requires the ability to understand and conduct statistical analysis of data.
Requires the ability to work extended hours as needed, in-state overnight travel is required.

This is a non-exempt unclassified position that reports to the Judicial Services Program Manager and the normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The Supreme Court of Ohio offers a generous compensation package which includes salaries reviewed annually for market adjustments; health, vision, dental, and life insurance; 14% employer contribution to the state retirement plan (OPERS); tuition reimbursement; flex time; and paid vacation, personal and sick time earned in the first month of employment.
