Job Description.
Provide a wide range of financial and analytical services and products. Assist in debt issuance, multi-level banking responsibilities, formulation of legislation and updating of the wastewater rate requirements study. Administers capital asset replacement plans, serves as management resource in union negotiations, and maintains a variety of critical information relating to budgeting and planning. Utilizes advanced technological abilities to solve problems and improve processes, issues projections and guidelines and conducts in-depth research into contracts that have financial impacts.
This position prepares and calculates cost/revenue/cash flow, assists property tax collections process as needed and prepares the annual budget for the Treasury, Tax Collection and Motor Vehicle Departments. Assists with the management of investment of both general funds and trusts and oversee key banking functions such as money manager and P-card Software. Supervises Trust Accountant and Violations Coordinator.
Required Qualifications.
The successful candidate will have three to five years of experience, a bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Political Science or related degree. He or she must be have computer literacy to perform the requirements of this position, including Lawson, Munis, banking applications, and all necessary software. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate a wide variety of projects as well as supervise and delegate assignments. Knowledge of applicable Local and State Regulations pertaining to Treasury and Tax Collections is required.
