Deputy Political Directors will be responsible for overseeing political relationships within a defined geographic region in Arizona. As an integral part of the Coordinated Campaign, DPD’s will engage grasstop leaders, elected officials, local party organizations and relevant outside groups to leverage new and existing relationships to support the work of Field staff on the ground. A typical day might be helping a local Party apparatus integrate their existing canvassing program into VAN best practices or it might be organizing a GOTV rally with top tier surrogates. We are looking for self-starters with existing Arizona relationships to join us as we organize the most important state in the country. Duties include but are not limited to: Regularly communicate with party organizations (e.g. Legislative Districts) to update them on the status of the Coordinated Campaign and identify areas of collaboration. Support the work of Field staff by identifying and solving potential problems before they arise. As applicable, develop constituency-based organizing events to supplement work of Field staff. Assist all Departments by leveraging political relationships to achieve that Department’s stated goals. Serve as a representative of ADP to candidate campaigns under the direction of senior Coordinated Campaign leadership.

Experience of at least two political campaign cycles in Arizona.
A self-starter and a willingness to tackle challenges and plot twists that will happen during a high-profile campaign.
Proficiency with standard organizing tools, including NGP, VAN, 1:1 SMS, etc.
Experience in or knowledge of multiple campaign departments is a plus.
Spanish fluency is a plus.
Experience managing staff is a plus.
